Joining as a Technical Workplace Engineer, you will play an integral role in the continued design, deployment, and administration of modern workplace technology throughout the organisation. You will act as a subject matter expert for the modern workplace stack and emerging technologies, contributing to the company’s longer-term IT roadmap.

You will ensure the seamless operation and optimisation of the modern workplace infrastructure, providing technical expertise and support for the implementation, configuration, and management of various modern workplace technologies piloting new and emerging tools, championing adoption, and driving best practices.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in enterprise server infrastructure and end-user computing, with a transition path to an architect or management role. • Proficiency in modern workplace technologies: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows 10/11, device management, collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams), and virtual desktop infrastructure. • Exposure to emerging technologies like Microsoft EntraID and Purview is a plus. • Expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting modern workplace solutions within a corporate environment. • Strong system administration and troubleshooting skills. • Knowledge of security best practices and data protection compliance. • Excellent communication skills for technical and cross-functional collaboration. • Problem-solving and analytical abilities for infrastructure optimization. • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, are advantageous.

As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will be a vital member of our IT Infrastructure team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimisation of our modern workplace infrastructure. Your role will focus on leading on a roadmap for Modern Workplace enhancements and providing technical expertise and support for the implementation, configuration, and management of various modern workplace technologies and tools.

Success in this role looks like:

Design, implement, and manage modern workplace solutions. • · Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements. • · Ensure the security and compliance of the digital workplace environment. • · Provide technical support and training to end-users. · Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in workplace technology. • Design and ownership of authentication and identity platforms including IDAM, F5 VPN, Active Directory (on-premise and Azure) and Office 365 • Maintain and support the infrastructure powering the Digital Workplace solutions (Video Conferencing, Wi-Fi, Printing, Mobile Device Management/Enterprise Mobility Management etc.) • 5+ years strong demonstratable experience in a similar role supporting enterprise server Infrastructure and End User Computing environments. Your new role

We are recruiting an experienced End User Computing Engineer to provide exceptional 2nd line support and problem management in a technical and organisationally complex environment. Provisioning and maintenance of end-user devices will be required, including Laptops, desktops, tablets and Smart Phone.

This role will be based from our London Ludgate Hill site however you will work with our colleagues across various UK sites.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

About you

Essential Requirements

Fluent written and spoken English. Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to communicate to business managers • Advanced level experience in providing 2nd line end-user support for a multi-site organisation (> 500 persons) • Wintel Hardware – Management – build automation (SCCM/IVANTI/McAfee) • Windows 10 – In depth knowledge • Office 2016 – Advanced Knowledge • Solid understanding and experience of administering the following: • Microsoft Back Office Systems (Active Directory / Exchange) • Mobile Device Management (MobileIron/WorkSpace One) • Remote Access systems • Networking – DNS, DHCP, File sharing, Printing, LAN/WLAN • Audio Visual/Video Conferencing • Endpoint protection – anti-virus, anti-malware (McAfee) • A high degree of competency in problem assessment and solving within an ITIL Support Service framework • Extensive practical experience in supporting a complex environment of devices and business applications • Familiarity with incident/request management systems (ServiceNow) Desirable Requirements • SAP client – support, deployment. • Familiarity with Cisco family of network products • Experience with scripting and automation. • Basic understanding of project management practices. Modern Workplace Ltd have partnered with a leading Digital Consultancy who are looking for an SC Cleared Infrastructure Engineer on a 6 month contract ( onsite) as an Infrastructure Engineer you will play a key role in an exciting project aimed at enhancing and supporting a highly secure platform and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate for the Infrastructure Engineer position should possess extensive experience with VMWare and PowerShell.

You will be required to be onsite at the client’s office five days a week.

Key skills include:

  • Hands-on experience in deploying the VMWare VCF Suite, encompassing IaC, PaaS, and SaaS use cases
  • Proficiency in advanced PowerShell, including writing functions and modules
  • Familiarity with Rest APIs
  • Ability to develop cross-domain connectivity solutions, including gateways

Modern Workplace Ltd have partnered with a Digital Technology Consultancy who are looking for an SC Cleared EUC Engineer to join them for an initial 6-month contract.

The EUC engineer will be responsible for supporting the organisations users and assisting with upgrades across the EUC landscape. The engineer will also need to have the capability to put together HLD and LLD documentation for EUC solutions. 

Retrospectively and for new solutions. The role will initially require 5 days per week onsite at the clients Milton Keynes based office but after an initial period there will be some flexibility:
